Important: Google Fit Deprecation
Google is retiring Google Fit APIs. The service will remain available until June 30, 2025, after which Google Fit connections - including those on the HealthyLife® portal - will stop working. Google recommends moving to Health Connect, and the HealthyLife® portal will offer a Health Connect migration beginning May 7, 2025.
Connect Google Fit to the HealthyLife® Portal
Connect Google Fit
To connect Google Fit to your wellness account on the HealthyLife® portal, please follow the steps below:
1. From Your Phone
- Download Google Fit from Apple Store or Google Play.
- Open the Google Fit app
- Tap Account
- Tap Set Up Device
- Follow Google Fit's guide to sync your device with your phone
2. From the Portal
- Log in to the HealthyLife Portal
- Choose Track from the main menu
- Find the Google Fit link and click Click to allow access to your Google Fit activity
- Log in to Google Fit with your Google account
- Select Allow to allow CoreHealth to access your Google Account
Why start from the portal? The first-time handshake stores a secure token that lets your Google Fit stats flow straight into your wellness dashboard. Going to fit.google.com directly (outside the portal) won’t create the necessary connection to pair with your wellness account.
Keep Things in Sync - Resync Google Fit
- On the Home → Track page you’ll see a Google Fit widget.
- If you ever notice stale numbers, open Google Fit's app to sync your data.
- The widget also shows the last successful sync date.
Disconnect Google Fit (if you ever need to)
Open the Google Fit app on your phone.
Tap your profile picture → Settings → Connected apps (or Manage connected apps).
Choose CoreHealth and tap Disconnect.
Back in the HealthyLife® Portal, refresh the page—your Google Fit token will be cleared.
